Gokyo Ri Trekking I was very lucky to trek to Kalapathar near Everest recently, we have done many Tea house Trekking using Hari’s Company Trexmount since 2001 and have spent many happy Tea house trekking holidays experience in Nepal with Hari, utilizing his vast trekking knowledge and business expertise. David and I have scaled Kalapathar, experienced Everest Base Camp, conquered the Cho Lar Pass to the Gokyo Lake area, and scaled Gokyo Ri on three different occasions. We have also done the mighty Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Base Camp a 23-day trek, what an awesome experience. We also have done the Langtang Trek, a very beautiful place to spend 10 or so days. I have been very lucky to have trekked in the Jomsom, Poon Hill area many times route, now it is not same as that have built new motor-able road. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how beautiful the country of Nepal is but I am going to, it is utterly fantastic the mountains are so high and awesome. The small villages you trek through can take you back many years in the way things are done, especially building the houses, not to mention watching them plough a paddock with the bullocks. The people are delightful, very friendly, and respond with big smiles to our Namastes – in other words, hello, how are you? For me, the most rewarding experience was getting to know the Nepalese people. Hari’s guides are English speaking, very capable, helpful, and experienced. His porters are also very experienced and great fun to be with. We had several games of backyard cricket, many games of cards, and lots of singing and dancing. Tea house trekking is a lot of fun and They are going better & better every year. I have no hesitation in recommending Hari to organize all your trekking holidays in Nepal. He has always been prompt to reply to emails, very efficient and thorough in organizing our treks, very honest in all business deals, and has fantastic guides and porters which all lead to one amazing trekking holiday. Hari himself is a very experienced guide and we have been very fortunate to have him guide our small groups from time to time. While I just love the Tea house style of trekking in Nepal, it is the people who keep calling us back there they are so friendly & Can’t forget our best Holidays with them.
