The Kathmandu Rim Trekking is a beautiful picturesque hike near Kathmandu Valley. This intriguing track is an excellent picturesque hiking option for those with limited vacation time. This hike is renowned for seeing rural life and taking in the breathtaking panoramic mountain views. The beautiful hill stations of Chisapani, Nagarkot, and Dhulikhel have been combined with breathtaking scenery and the huge Himalayan range to provide a fantastic experience. This stunning Trekking is famous because visitors can enjoy beautiful vistas of snow-capped peaks stretching from the Annapurna Himalayan range to Mount Everest.

After a one-hour trip to the outskirts of Kathmandu, This Trekking begins. To reach the countryside ambiance, we shall go through lovely villages and forests. The Kathmandu Rim Trek provides an excellent opportunity to see rural farm settlements with fascinating cultures and customs. This is a beautiful site to come for those who want to see village life, countryside farms, and a cool, pure, fascinating forested environment rich with rhododendron, pine, magnolia, and oak trees. Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Jugal Himal, Gaurishankar, Melungtse, and the world’s tallest Mount Everest provide amazing views.

Kathmandu Rim Trekking is recommended for exploring villages rich in old culture and customs. We saw a beautiful padded field and farmers working in a challenging environment. The gorgeous villages and local livelihood made the gentle walking trail through the forest to Nagarkot beautiful. Nagarkot is a well-known hill station that offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas as well as dawn and sunset. The beautiful view of towering snow-capped mountains from the view tower is breathtaking. From the View Tower, visitors may see a small portion of Mount Everest. Following the lookout tower, the trail descends to Nala via a well-worn path and a charming rural community. We’ll visit the old Newari settlement of Dhulikhel and take in the breathtaking countryside.

The winding road to Namo Buddha hill station adds to the adventure. Namo-Buddha is a great destination to learn about local life and visit a famous Buddhist monastery. Inside the Monastery grounds, we can witness monks praying for their devotees. The Kathmandu Rim Trek continues with a hike to the historic hamlet of Panauti before returning to Kathmandu via car.

Journey for Kathmandu Rim Trekking

Our journey begins with a picturesque drive to Changunarayan Temple, one of India’s oldest temples and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple is also notable for its architectural excellence and religious significance. After a picturesque drive to Nagarkot, the hike resumes. Similarly, the well-known viewpoint provides breathtaking views of the nation’s famous Himalayas at sunrise and dusk. We’ll walk from Nagarkot to Chisapani and then to Shivapuri. We will have the opportunity to observe the unique flora and fauna of Shivapuri National Park before continuing to Kakani, one of the most popular holiday locations near Kathmandu Valley.

Likewise, Kathmandu Rim Trekking is one of the most accessible and exciting treks in the Kathmandu Valley. Moreover, the hike has all of the characteristics of a classic Nepalese trek. Despite its short length, the trip offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayas as well as a diverse cultural experience along the way. Similarly, the trek’s varied scenery provides a lovely beginning, with a mix of beautiful rivers and rich foliage accompanying us throughout.



Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Our representative will come to the airport for transfer to the Hotel. After some refreshment in the hotel, Our Tour leader will conduct a pre departure meeting in the Hotel. The meetings will covers trip related information & the collecting your Documents (passport copy, 2 passport size photos, Travel insurance copy).


Drive to Sundarijal and trek to Chisapani (2,340 m-7,677 ft) – 05 hrs.

This marvelous cultural and scenic journey starts with a short one hour drive to the eastern suburb of Kathmandu valley, Sundarijal.  Sundarijal is located  15 k.m from Kathmandu city. The trek begins with an uphill walk passing many small farm villages with beautiful waterfalls. Reach the entrance of Shivapuri National Park and begin to walking into Shivapuri reserved forest through the rhododendron, pines and oaks forest before reaching into the ridge of the forest.  Here the air is cooler bring situated at 2,340 m-7,766 ft. It overlooks a grand vista of Annapurna-Manaslu-Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal towards the Jugal Himal range. We have about an hour descending to reach Chisapani for overnight stop. (Meals:B)


Trek to Nagarkot (2,100 m-6,889 ft) – 06 hrs.

Start early to catch the stunning sunrise over array of snow capped peaks. Take a pleasant walk on a gradual winding wider trail through an enchanting forested area in a peaceful surrounding. And descend to Chowki-bhanjyang, a small farm village, and mid way point to Nagarkot.

After a pleasant stop walk on a gradual winding path through farm terraces and villages, once reaching at Jarsing Pawa (1,700 m–5,557 ft), we have a gentle ascending to one of the most touristic spots Nagarkot hill station, a small town that offers grand vista of mountain. Nagarkot is located at an elevation of 2,100 m–6,889 ft and is famous for stunning sunrises and sunset views reflecting its light on a range of snow capped mountains from Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang-Jugal Himal, Mt. Gauri Shanker and all the way to the eastern horizon towards Everest region.  (Meals: B)


Trek to Nala, drive to Dhulikhel – 05 hrs.

We hike to the View tower in the morning and descending to Nala through the beaten trail and villages. Drive to Dhulikhel. (Meals: B,L,D)


Drive to Namo Buddha or Balthali, see the surrounding and Drive back to Kathmandu – 05 hrs.

Explore lovely hill station with great Buddhist monastery. You will make return journey and drive back to kahtmandu, have some times to explore yourself in (Kathmandu.  Meals:B)


Departure Transfer.

For breakfast, we will transfer to Tribhuvan International airport for departing from Nepal.
