This is our first trip to Nepal, but surely it will not be our last. what great exercise and some incredible views at the base camps. Lots of ups and downs (aka Nepali flat according to prem our guide). Everything was very well organized and both our guide and porter were helpful with everything. We set off to follow the footsteps of Edmund Hillary and did Everest base Camp Trekking in October 2006 with Trexmount Ventures. There were so many highlights in the journey however - the school at Kumjung , the hospital at Kunde , the monastery at Tengboche and the foot of the mountain he submitted was an awesome experience. We have just returned from a wonderful trek in Nepal. We were 7 ladies from New Zealand heading for Annapurna Base Camp. Many thanks Hari and his team at Trexmount Ventures provided us with great porters and guide Raj. It was NOT a walk in the park - - as with anything in the Himalayas - it was a challenge for us as we were all over "retirement age " but determined to prove that we could do it.
