The most popular way to reach Everest base camp is to fly into Lukla from Kathmandu. This is 30-minute flight with amazing mountain views. The lovely Sherpa farm villages following the glacial Dudh Kosi River valley. The world’s highest Sagarmatha National Park starts from Monjo village. This National park was added to the list of World Heritage Sites In 1979. The area of the Sagarmatha national park is 1,148 square kilometer. It has a rich alpine vegetation. There are Musk deer, Snow leopards, Himalayan Thar, Nepal’s national bird, Impheyan pheasant and many more. The Yeti, are rare to spot as we have just a story yet. From the park entrance, climb higher to reach Namche, a lovely area to relax. Especially on Saturdays when the Namche bazaar is bustling with nice lodges, hotels, restaurants, bakeries, pubs, cyber cafés, and banks. And post offices, as well as superstores and shops. The trekking continue through the pleasant walking trail after Namche bazzar. The magnificent views of Everest, Amadablam, Lhotse, Nuptse and many peaks are encouraging visitors with it’s beautiful sights. And then uphill to scenic Tyangboche Monastery with super views surrounded by green woodland. After a nice interesting tour, the walk continues heading into the wide exposed landscape leaving the tree lines behind for barren and arid terrain. as walking further and higher, we will reach Everest base camp and just amaze with the achievements. At Everest base camp, you’ll have plenty of opportunities. You can observe the breathtaking landscape of the Khumbu Ice Falls and glaciers, as well as the towering peaks of Lo-La and Nuptse on each side of Mt. Everest’s South Face.
