This wonderful Classic Everest Base Camp trekking starts with an interesting drive with scenic view to Jiri and then to Bhandara from where you begins your trekking journey. You will trek through few passes and many nice traditional Sherpa, Rai and other ethnic people. There are few villages with old culture and custom around Kenja, Sete and over Lamjura pass 3,530 m. The trek continue through enchanting forest of rhododendron, pines and oaks trees visiting Junbesi, Takshindo, Nunthala, Kharekhola and entering the upper Solu Khumbu area. We will trek through the busy trekking trail after lukla as many trekkers takes the flight to lukla. We follows Dudh Kosi River valley. We walk through nice neat villages of Choplung, Ghat and Phakding. The trail heading higher through cool shade of forest lined with tall rhododendron, pines, firs and oak trees. The overlooking views of snowcapped mountains amaze the visitors. The Sagarmatha National Park entry point is here in manjo village where all permits are checked and recorded. We cross few bridges and leaving the last village of Jorsalle walking on river bed and then with a climb for couple of hours to reach Magnificent village Namche bazzar. The famous Namche Bazaar is a wonderful place to be and acclimatize before you hike higher. There are many facilities and activities in Namche bazzar. This famous large village holds busy Saturday market every week, the only place here with ATM, Banks, Post Office, Cyber, with numerous shops, delightful restaurants and bakeries. After spending two nights here with acclimatization day, we hike higher to another scenic place at Tengboche Monastery. This place is in the midst of forest setting with awesome views of snowcapped peaks including Mt. Everest and the majestic Ama Dablam. You can visit inside the monastery premises and join the prayer ceremony by the monks. This is truly unique spot to be. We continue our journey and the tree lines and lush vegetation for arid and barren terrain heading towards beautiful Imjatse valley. There are lovely views of high Himalaya in the journey to Gorakshep after Lobuche. We will spend a couple of nights at Dingboche for acclimatization. The short hike up to Nagkar hill 4850m gives acclimatize and descend lower to Dingboche. The trail ascend gently up to Lobuche 4960M. We continue the journey to Gorakshep at 5,180 m which is the last tea house and village in the region. We put our baggage in Gorekshep and hike to kalapather. And we walk to the most highlighted journey to Everest Base Camp in the following morning. EBC is located beneath towering Pumori and Kalapatthar rocky hill, which was an early Everest base camp till 1970’s. We walk on rocky moraines and ice to reach beneath the giant Mt. Everest at base camp at 5,364 m. The amazing views of surrounding high mountains Lhotse, Nuptse, Lho-la, Lingtrin, Pumori and the tumbling long Khumbu glaciers and ice fall. We make return journey to lukla and take 30 minute to Kathmandu. This fabulous complete with great experience and memories.
