Overview

Ganesh Himal Trekking is a remote and wilderness challenging trekking trail located in Nepal’s central region. This intriguing hiking trail features terraced slants that appear to march inexorably to the sky. Similarly, you’ll pass through a number of fascinating ethnic communities on your way there. Likewise, this will provide a rare opportunity to observe the true splendor of Nepalese social customs and conventions. In addition, the Ganesh Himal Trekking offers breathtaking mountain views and a mid-hill region, with sweeping views of the Tsum Valley, Singala pass, and Pasang la pass. The venues you visit are in distinct local lively hoods, providing a variety of experiences.

The Ganesh Himal Trekking trail begins in the Budi Gandaki river valley’s heart. The trekking zone also provides an amazing environment for a diverse range of vegetation and some fascinating wild animals such as the Himalayan Thar, Gaur, several monkey species, and musk deer. Moreover, the untouched woodland and off-the-beaten path create an unforgettable wilderness trekking adventure. The broadly included points of view of various magnificent mountains, strengthening to see the joyful appearances of local people, and walking around the bank of streams to complete the route will be immensely compensated. Ganesh Himal Trekking was created to experience friendly, secluded, and isolated traditional hill communities in the Tamang tribes’ homeland, where their roots lead to Tibet. Another thing to observe is the remarkable local culture. The Hidden Trail to Ganesh Himal trek provides spectacular views of Annapurna I (8,091m / 26,545ft) Annapurna South (7,219m-23,693ft), the 08th highest Mt. Manaslu at 8,163 m, Ganesh Himal (7,405 m) in the western horizon, and the center Langtang Lirung (7,234 m) Ghengu Liru (Langtang II 6571m  / 21,560ft), Kimshun (6,745m/22,137ft).

It continues over Jugal Himal and terminates in Dorje Lakpa (6,980m/22,929ft). To the east, the Langtang’s upper meadows finish in a gigantic mountain wall, defining the border with Tibet’s Mt. Shishapangma (8,013 m / 26,289 ft), west of Sringi Himal and Mansiri Himal, and the range’s highest summit, Yangra (Ganesh I), 7,422 m /24,350 ft.

Such as Kispang, Gongga, Tipling, Jyamrung, and others. Each with spectacular vistas of the Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal peaks. You’ll get lots of opportunities to learn about the Tamang ethnics’ culture, traditions, and way of life as you stop at several of these settlements. The Tamang people’s purity and kindness here in the Ganesh Himal Range’s foothills is a one-of-a-kind experience.

Itinerary

01Day

Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Our representative will come to the airport for transfer to the Hotel. After some refreshment in the hotel, Our Tour leader will make pre departure meeting in the Hotel or at our office. The meeting will cover trip related information & the collecting your Documents (passport copy, 2 passport size photos, Travel insurance).

02Day

Kathmandu: Free day or City Sightseeing (pay Locally for sightseeing).

After morning breakfast, free day for trek preparation. OR, you can do sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley with visiting into fascinating heritage and cultural sites. There are few places that are worth to visit such as holy Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Durbar Squire ( One is in Kathmandu, in patan and also in Bhaktapur), Museum,  monasteries, old historical Palaces and Gardens. Note:  this tour is optional so you can visit with place of your interest & pay locally. (Meals: B)

03Day

Drive to Arughat (600 m-1,968 ft) - 06 hrs journey.

Morning depart hotel for an interesting drive from Kathmandu on the main busy road for a while, the drive follows the Trisuli River till Malekhu a small town, from here drive leads north towards Dhading Besi, a mid hill town, from here on the dirt road to reach first overnight stop at Arughat bazaar, a large village with many shops and stores, a warm and low area with sub tropical temperatures. 04Day

Trek to Manbu (1,300 m-4,265 ft) - 06 hrs.

First day walk begins towards a wide jeep track for an hour on the gradual path most of way reaching at Arkhet village 1,200 m, a nice looking farm village, and then leading across Buri Gandaki River to reach back at Dhading area again to Manbu village with small uphill climb with few zig zag bends for almost two hours passing Bahun gaon, and then lastly a gentle climb to Manbu village with superb views of Manaslu range of peaks, Himal Chuli, Boudha Himal. Overnight with first camping facilities from here onwards till Gatlang village. (Meals: B,L,D)

05Day

Trek to Lamo Dhunga (2,200 m-7,217 ft) - 06 hrs.

From this nice peaceful Manbu village walk leads to Dhunchet with gradual trekking for about two hours and then a climb passing several small villages on route through a nice cool, pleasant forest of rhododendron, pines and oaks trees and then climb for an hour to Dhunchet for lunch stop, and then continue trek with a climb for an hour on the winding path to Lama Dhunga for overnight camping. (Meals: B,L,D)

06Day

Trek to Nauban Kharka (2,750 m-9,022 ft) - 06 hrs.

After Lama Dhunga, walk leads to enter a forested area and smaller streams leaving the villages crossing smaller streams on the gentle path for two hours with an uphill of three hours to reach Nuaban Kharka with spectacular views of Himal Chuli and Boudha Himal. (Meals: B,L,D)

07Day

Trek to Khading (2, 570 m-8,431 ft) - 05 hrs.

From Nauban after a nice stay walk leads to cross Nuaban Bhanjyang for an hour with wonderful views of snow capped peaks in the distance then heading down on the gentle slope to Khading for 3 hours with views of Ganesh III-IV and after Khading continue walk for an hour descending to Yarsa for overnight camp. (Meals: B,L,D)

08Day

Trek to Tirigaon (1,760 m-5,774 ft) - 06 hrs

With the beautiful views of the snow capped peaks, our morning walk for an hour on the gradual to Kupchet for 2 hours and then descend to Lapche and cross river to Kapor Gaon and to Timila school and 30 mins to Tirigagoan village. (Meals: B,L,D)

09Day

Trek to Sherlung Khola (1,430 m-4,691 ft) – 05 hrs.

From Tirigaon morning starts with 2 hours gradual walk to Tatopani and on the winding road for an hour to Chale Khola and then climb high up to Chalisa and then on the gentle slope for one hour to Sherlung for overnight camp near the large village. (Meals: B,L,D)

10Day

Trek to Marmelung Kharka (3,200 m-10,499 ft) - 06 hrs.

Morning visit the old monastery of the village and then descend to Tipling river valley gorge, and cross a bridge with steep uphill to Tipling for another two hours continue climb till Marmelung Kharka is reached for overnight stop. (Meals: B,L,D)

11Day

Trek to Pangsang La (3,850 m-12,631 ft) - 04 hrs.

After a great time at Marmelung Kharka, our morning walk leads to a climb on the forested ridge to Pansang pass at 3,850 meters high with tremendous views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu range and as far to Annapurna at Pangsang la for lunch and overnight stop with the marvelous views. (Meals: B,L,D)

12Day

Rest day for hike and exploration.

An awesome place to have rest day with grand visit of snow capped mountains starting from far west Annapurna, Manaslu and towards North Mt. Ganesh massive, towards east Langtang and Jugla Himalayan range, take a hike on this least visited area with chances of spotting some wild life as well like the rare Red Panda and mountain goats, antelopes. (Meals: B,L,D)

13Day

Trek to Gatlang (2,200 m-7,217 ft) via Somdang (3,335 m-10,942 ft) - 06 hrs.

After an enjoyable and wonderful time at the highest point of this adventure at Pansang Bhanjyang, walk leads towards east around Langtang area descending for long hours of near three hours to reach at Somdang a large Tamang village with immense farm lands, terraces and then walk on the main road continue for few hours with a slow short climb to another large village at Gatlang for overnight stop, in a nice homely comfort in cottage, huts accommodation with home stay hospitality facilities. (Meals: B,L,D)

14Day

Trek to Chilme (1,650 m-5,413 ft) – 06 hrs.

After a great overnight in this large Tamang village of Gatlang, morning walk leads to Chilime River, fed from the glacier from the very source of Ganesh and Langtang Himal range and tributary Kyoring area towards North in Tibet.

Walk is on the gradual uphill passing several farm villages and farm lands and reaching at Chilime where there is a new built hydro project for electricity power.

After lunch, explore the local villages with views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal. (Meals: B,L,D)

15Day

Drive back to Kathmandu - 06 hrs journey.

Morning after breakfast, an interesting drive back to Kathmandu journey continues with great views of Himalayan landscapes, rolling hills and valleys, passing many villages and towns on the downhill road to Kathmandu. (Meals: B)

16Day

Departure

Transfer to Tribhuvan International airport for departing from Nepal.
